Passionate, skilled and innovative people make up the NTGPE staff.

We offer training and support services to GP registrars, GP supervisors and training posts. To do this, our people are skilled in medical education, management, administration, finance, counselling and well being, marketing and communications, events management, human resource management and information technology.

There are around 35 full-time staff and 15 part-time/casual medical educators and assessors.

AMSANT/NTGPE Project Liaison Officer
Curtis is the AMSANT/NTGPE Project Liaison Officer

Curtis is a Larrakia man born and raised on Larrakia country. He is the first Indigenous man to be awarded a PhD from Charles Darwin University. Curtis has published in academic journals in Australia and overseas on Indigenous topics. He has supervised PhD students doing research on Indigenous topics and continues to supervise PhD students in his role as an Adjunct Fellow at CDU.

Curtis has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Indigenous Studies, education, anthropology and human resource management. Curtis has delivered many public seminars and conference presentations on Indigenous issues.

Curtis is currently working for the NTPGE and the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance of the Northern Territory as a Project Officer.

Emma is a medical educator involved in video ECTVs, ECTVs and workshop delivery.

Bio:

Originally from Sydney, Emma is now a GP based in Darwin. She has a clinical interest in women’s health, paediatrics and Aboriginal health. She is passionate about helping registrars develop their communication skills to facilitate the provision of high quality, patient-centred care.

Current role:

Emma is a medical educator involved in video ECTVs, ECTVs and workshop delivery.

Qualifications:

BAppSc (Phty), MBBS (Hons), MPH&TM, DRANZCOG, DCH, FRACGP

Jan has a background in procedural obstetrics, rural general practice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and is interested in Balint work. She is a Senior Medical Educator with NTGPE and has a particular interest in teaching the skills needed to make our clinical communication overt and intentional, to improve both patient care and professional satisfaction.
