In order for the GPR Support Team to process all paperwork and make sure your Provider Number is processed BEFORE placements starts your paperwork needs to be completed by April 1.
The process isn’t fun, but if you fill out the AGPT Medicare Provider Number forms correctly it will mean the process is done as quickly as possible.
Provider numbers are usually issued within 3 – 4 weeks of AGPT approval. Please notify your clinic and NTGPE of your Provider Numbers once they arrive.
It is your responsibility to contact Medicare to follow up on the status of your application if it is late. Failure to submit the form on time, or following up with Medicare may lead to a Provider Number not having been issued before your placement starts, which will affect your livelihood, your clinic and your patients.
