GPTEC 2020 has been postponed

Since our last update, we have continued to monitor the advice given by the NT and Australian Government Health Departments.

Last week the NT Government released their roadmap to the new normal, in addition to the Australian Government’s three step framework for a COVIDSafe Australia. The new frameworks do not provide for the capacity to hold large-scale events in the coming months. In addition, the Conference Organising Committee is aware of the risks of large groups of doctors participating in an event.

It is with great disappointment that we announce the postponement of the General Practice Training and Education Conference (GPTEC) 2020.

This has not been an easy decision – we are committed to work with our attendees, speakers, partners and exhibitors to ensure they receive the support they need at these uncertain times.

GPTEC will now be held in Darwin in September 2021 and we would be delighted if you could plan to join us then.

Registrations to attend GPTEC 2021 will return in early 2021. We will provide updates as they become available – please watch this space.

More information is available on the conference website.
